Naruto Kunoichi Death Battle Royale by Thaeonblade
It was a beautiful day in Konoha!

The War was over with Madara and the Juubi defeated along with Tobi. Peace time was at hand with shinobi on paid vacation due to an unbelievably stable peace between the Five Shinobi Nations. Everything was good.

Until someone bumped into someone else.

"Naruto you pervert!"

Did you expect peace to last long?

"Sakura-chan! I swear it was an accident-" But too enraged by Naruto's accidental grope, Sakura unleashed a full-force punch into Naruto's face that sent him crashing halfway across Konoha.

"Cha! Cha! That's what you get!" Sakura shouted, unaware of a nearby observer who was bearing down on her with a Lion-charged palm with her name on it.

"Bitch!" Hinata cried out when the Twin Lion Fist impacted Sakura's shoulder and sent her flying into a nearby flower-shop, "That's the last time that you ever hit Naruto-kun!"

"That baka groped me!" Sakura yelled back just as both females were caught in a strong wave of killer intent from a certain blond who walked out of the shop holding a torn flower, "Ino?"

"So whose paying for the damage?" Ino took control of both kunoichi with her clan's body transmission jutsu and started making them choke themselves, "I can wait."

"Hi ladies!" A half-naked Temari walked into the fray with a casual smile, "I was about to have a bath and get ready for dinner. Then some blond idiot slams through my apartment and CRUMBLES IT INTO DUST! Care to explain?"

"She did it-"

"Don't care." Temari's wind fan was already out and unleashing a tornadic whirlwind that tore apart several buildings nearby, "Kind of mad."

"WHO HAD THE BALLS!?" An enraged Karin marched through the aftermath and slapped Temari hard enough to send her flying into the nearby ruined flowershop, "Now what am I gonna get Sasuke?!"

"Speaking of gifts. Ino...where were the flowers for Neji's grave?" A newly arrived Tenten inquired while Ino paled as she realized that she was sitting on the broken vase with said flowers, "Oh...that happened."

"Everyone...I know that we're pissed at each other. But we should move this somewhere else..." Hinata suggested, with the six gathered kunoichi looking around and realizing how devastated that the district had become from their skirmish.

"I know just the place."

Valley of the End

Ready to die little girls?" Temari now stood upon a flowing river running in between two eponymous statues of Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju. Her war-fan ready as she stood in a semi-circle facing six other kunoichi.

"Please! You're the one whose gonna get bagged!" Ino taunted confidently.

"Now...now...stay calm cause you'll be the first." Tenten shot back with her scrolls ready.

"I won't fail. Especially not to any of you!" Hinata decreed with her active byakugan.

"I feel really out of place right now..." Karin thought to herself while keeping a strong and neutral expression.

"Tsunade-sama, I won't let you down! I will win!" Inner Sakura declared while Sakura herself was already poised to attack.

"Before we do this! Let's go over the rules!" Ino declared as she walked into the middle of the semi-circle, "No touching of the hair or the face!"

"Goes without saying." Karin agreed.

"Sure." Sakura also agreed.

"Whatever." Tenten replied.

"Of course." Hinata agreed.

"Fine." Temari also agreed.

"Alright then!" Ino walked back to her place in the semi-circle, "Ready when you are, bitches."

FIGHT!

Hinata dove for Sakura, but was interrupted from having to avoid Tenten's summoned bo-staff. Tenten's quickness and precision prevented the Hyuga from landing a solid hit while the weapon's master was able to trip Hinata and throw her at Sakura. Hinata avoided Sakura's punch and began a deadly game of dodge and strike with the powerful medical-nin. Meanwhile, Ino was thrown back by Tenten's wind blade while the Suna Jonin suddenly focused on the Chakra chains that were launched at her. Temari managed to avoid the chains and slammed her windfan into Karin and then unleashed a wind blade to send the Uzamaki flying into the nearby cliffs.

Ino recovered quickly enough and watched as Hinata started to gain an edge on Sakura. Knowing the threat of Hinata's gentle fist, Ino decided to even the playing field between the two kunoichi so that her own chances were greater. She used her Body Transmission Jutsu to take control of Hinata's body to make her strikes less precise and leaving more openings for Sakura. An opportunity that the medical-nin took as she landed a solid hit on Hinata's shoulder that sent her flying across the river.

Of course, she didn't want their fight to end quite so fast and so, she went over to the shore where they were continuing their fight. With the two females practically wrestling with each other, Ino had them in perfect position to take over both of their bodies at once. Her own body falling into the shore, Ino had Hinata spot Temari and head over to attack her. Meanwhile, she decided to have Sakura deal with Karin, but not before giving her a taste of her own poison...
_________________________
Heavily breathing in relief, Karin was well-hidden with her cloaking technique. Despite a strong front, she quickly realized that she was no match for Temari. Or for anyone else in the field for that matter. One punch from Sakura and she was dead. One strike from Hinata and her heart would explode. One look at Ino and she'd make her kill herself. Temari is literally creating hurricanes. Which only left Tenten.

"What am I worried about? All she can do is throw stuff-" Just then, she noticed that there was an arrow in her throat. Karin tried to use one hand to pull it out while bringing the other up to her mouth to bite herself. But both arms were also hit with arrows, pinning them down for when a crossbow bolt slammed through her heart and in between her eyes.

With no sign of the Oto defector nearby, Temari focused on Hinata who seemed to be charging straight at her with abandon. A clearly stupid move which Temari countered by unleashing a Wind Strike which threw the Hyuga into the cliffs nearby. Temari knew that she couldn't afford to let Hinata get close to her, the Gentle Fist was too much of a risk to allow herself to be caught in a close range battle.

Suddenly, she saw the Hyuga girl charge out of the cliffs with chakra lions covering her palms. Temari readied herself and was surprised when the girl launched out both lions at Temari. Caught off guard, the Suna Shinobi was forced to use her fan to defend herself against the Lionhead that she couldn't avoid and was shaken when she saw a noticeable crack appear upon it's steel frame. Knowing that she'd underestimate the Hyuga's range, Temari immediately unleashed another wind wave at the now in-control Hinata. The girl countered the attack by creating an orb of interweaving chakra threads around herself, but this gave Temari an opening to expand the gap between the two of them.
_____________________
Suddenly sensing that Karin's chakra signature vanished, Ino decided to have a change in plans. She released her control on Hinata now that she was already facing off with Temari and went over to where she'd detected Sakura. At the moment, her rival was administering a medical jutsu to remove the poison that Ino had forced her to use on herself and heal the wounds.

"Hey forehead!" Ino shouted, earning Sakura's attention right as Sakura's body was once again taken over by the Body Transmission jutsu. To Ino's surprise, Sakura had administered an antidote to her poisoned wounds while her chakra seal was already speeding up her natural healing. It actually made Ino plenty kinds of jealous. The root of this flower was too well-watered and deep, best to strike the head.

However, Sakura had other ideas.

"Get out of my body Ino-pig!" Sakura's mind shouted while she fought against Ino's intrusive control. If she faltered, Ino would force Sakura's body to stab itself. The effort was much harder than many years before likely due to Ino's increased mastery and Sakura felt herself begin to slip.

"Giving up already billow brow?" Ino taunted just as Tenten landed next to Ino's unconscious body, "Nani?"

Tenten stared straight into Ino's eyes when she stabbed through her stomach.

Sakura immediately felt Ino's hold release and she watched with a mixture of relief and sadness as Ino tried to pull out the sword which had been impaled in her body. An effort which was useless thanks to the explosive tag already applied to it.
___________________
Tenten just stood and faced Sakura without looking back. She didn't need to look at the explosion that likely tore Ino into several little pieces. She'd seen so many explosions before that they bored her now.

She did however, use the resultant smokescreen to hide herself from Sakura's assault. Tenten landed on the river and noted the approaching Sakura. One hit from Haruno and Tenten would see herself get splattered into multiple pieces across the river's surface.

So Tenten improvised.

Sakura's fist slammed into a summoned metal doll which Tenten manipulated as a shield to ward off the powerful Medical-nin's punches. Realizing that Sakura was actually starting to dent the object, Tenten launched it into Sakura to temporarily sink her into the river. Meanwhile, Tenten rushed to shore in time to watch Hinata get thrown into the water.
___________________
Temari instantly recognized the weapon's kunoichi from years ago. Back then, she had beaten her with laughable ease.

But a lot can change in 4 years.

For instance, when Temari unleashed a wind blade towards Tenten, the weapon's user pulled out a scroll which shot a dragon-shaped fireball right into the wind blade. Widening her eyes in shock and surprise, Temari nearly dropped her fan due to her haste and narrowly avoided the wind-enhanced Dragon that scorched off what little remained of her clothing and impacted Hashirama's big toe. The resultant explosion sent debris and water tumbling into the valley, raising water levels and generating a good degree of mud on the now flooding shores.

She watched Tenten leap into the air, spinning between two unfurling scrolls while summoning various weapons from within. Temari knew this technique from years ago and decided to bide her time though she found herself very cautious of what Tenten was about to throw at her. At first, it was just kunai with exploding tags which she could avoid or various other mundane weapons which she could block.

When Tenten started trying to puppet the weapons at Temari, she knew exactly what to do. She spun around herself and created a small cyclone that sent the weapons all across the field and prepared to unleash her most powerful wind attack.

Elsewhere, Hinata had finished relocating and healing her shoulder from Sakura's earlier attack. Ino's manipulation had cost her several injuries, but fortunately it wasn't too much for her to handle.

She ducked and swerved under an iron doll that was thrown at her and readied herself for when Sakura emerged from the lake. She avoided Sakura's punch which knocked out a large chunk of the nearby valley and found herself perfectly in range with her Twin Lion Steps already charged.

"Twin Lion Eight Triagrams...Two palms!" Hinata struck at Sakura's tenketsu points like a viper striking it's prey, "Four palms! Eight palms! Sixteen palms! Thirty-Two palms! Twin Lion Step Eight Triagrams...Sixty-four palms!" Sakura staggered back, her chakra completely shut-down due to the assault that she'd endured, but Hinata wasn't done yet.

"This is for Naruto!" Hinata struck with one more palm, only this was a vacuum palm that knocked Sakura off of her feet and sent her flying across the river.

Just as Tenten had pulled out the Bashosen in response to Temari's incoming wind tornado. She had to act quickly before the cyclone picked up enough water to undo her own counter-plan.

"Really hope that I don't die." Knowing the risks and consequences of such an action, Tenten swung the legendary elemental fan just as Sakura was thrown in front of her, "Nani?" The resultant torrent of fire encaptured the foe as it flew out towards Temari's tornado and not only turned it into a cyclone of fire, but also steered it's direction towards Temari.

As a panting Tenten watched, Temari had been far too close to the tornado to be able to avoid it this time as the cyclone tore apart the already ruined valley.

Though using a cover did mitigate some damage, the truth was that Temari was covered in several third to second degree burns in addition to being struck with some of the weapons that Temari had earlier summoned. Her fan was close to the point of snapping in half, she could already feel it. That Oto girl's chain must have done more damage earlier than she'd previously thought.

Determined not to lose, Temari was trying to figure out exactly how to bounce back. The best way to deal with Tenten was to have her distracted, but who could do that? The Uzamaki girl had vanished and was likely either dead or fled; Yamanaka was out; She'd spotted Haruno get thrown into the fire and probably saw her body hit the water and this only left the Hyuga girl.

Who was now in the corner of her eye.

"Fuck." One palm to Temari's battered and endowed chest was all that Hinata needed to end her life.
_________________

"I really hope that I don't need to use this again." Despite being proud of her work, Tenten was fairly certain that she needed to go through more chakra-building exercises after all of this. As the dust settled, she saw Hinata staring right at her with a glare all too similar to her late-cousin.

"Now for the easy part." Tenten smirked as Hinata sped across the lake while Tenten summoned an old familiar friend. Hinata's palm impacted and actually snapped when it impacted against Tenten's iron doll. Hinata reeled in pain and used her unbroken wrist to summon a Chakra Lion which she then used to start beating upon the doll which Tenten hid behind.

Due to damage suffered earlier from Sakura, the doll was actually damaged enough for Tenten to dispose of it. She retreated backwards and summoned a kusarigama in preparation. Though not as good as Neji, Hinata's lethal potential was not lost to Tenten.

At all.
________________

Hinata in her stance, using her free hand to quickly heal her broken arm while Tenten summoned another weapon. She had to be careful as Tenten had trained with Neji and therefore knew how to fight a Hyuga.

But not her.

She opened with a Vacuum Palm which Tenten swerved to avoid. Hinata saw an opening and charged at her, but Tenten had thrown out her kusarigama's chain to restrain her legs and cause her to fall onto the river's surface. Tenten then took out another scroll and summoned a barrage of kunai which bore down on Hinata. Hinata spun and unleashed her Eight Triagrams Protection sphere to block all of the knives.

Except for one.

Said kunai had been painfully burrowed into her upper spine which tends to truly disrupt your ability to walk or properly move your arms. Reeling in pain, Hinata realized too late that a giant shadow was bearing down upon her. She looked up in time to see a giant spiked ball descent closer and closer to her face.
________________

Seeing that her plan had worked, Tenten used the opportunity to summon two more secret weapon while Hinata was stunned from the damage to her nervous system thanks to a well-placed strike to Hinata's upper Thoracic Vertebre. She leapt into the air above Hinata and summoned the massive Jidanda right over the Hyuga Heiress. Then, it was a mere matter of sitting upon the weapon and letting gravity do the rest.

Tenten's teeth grit upon hearing Hinata's entire skeletal and bone structure become crushed between a river and a giant spiked ball.

KO!

Later that day

"And after that, you're all going to pay for the damage you did to the village, the Valley of the End, and to the Memorial to my grandfather!" Tsunade shouted at the recently injured or revived kunoichi, "Honestly! I thought that you all had more self-control than that! You should be thankful that we had someone conveniently able to use the Rinne Tensei!"

"Now...now...young people will be young people." A Miraculously alive and young Kushina Uzamaki said with a smile, though her eyes were a little dry. After all, they were only recently restored after temporarily using Madara's preserved Rinnegan to revive her son's friends/love interest(s), "I do have a question though. Which one of you punched my son?"

"That was Sakura-"

"She did it!" All of the others shouted as they pointed at a shocked and exhausted Tenten.

"You're all bitches." Tenten muttered, nothing even bothering to avoid the incoming punch of an enraged mother.

Which hit everyone else in the face. And somehow blew their robes/dresses/shirts open. Including Tenten's.

"That's for lying!" Kushina chided the groaning and corrected females before giving an extra one to Sakura, "That's for hitting my son!"

"We're sorry..."

"You will be when I'm done with you!" While Kushina went to work, Tsunade just yawned with a relieved Tenten leaned against her desk.

"I hear that you did gave these ladies a good beating."

"I just did my best." Tenten bashfully replied, "It wasn't easy either."

"Nothing worth keeping is easy." Tsunade noted, "I hereby appoint you as my new Head Shinobi."

"Really?! Thank you!" Tenten cheered despite the nearby pain being delivered. She'd finally achieved her goal and all from the kunoichi that she'd looked up to and wanted to be like since she was a genin.

The Verdict

Could've done without some of the gore and violence...especially from Tenten

Isn't the shinobi life a very cut-throat world-

But look at those tits! They're all so beautiful! Tenten's ain't bad either.

"Silently agrees while slapping Jiraiya" This outcome actually surprised me as well. But upon further analysis, it makes perfect sense for Tenten to come out victorious. Not only did she have a range advantage against most of the other kunoichi, she was lethally proficient and experienced in fully utilizing this advantage and her completely unpredictable unorthodox combat style.

I honestly thought Sakura or Hinata would win. But the weapon-master managed to surprise me. The girl adapted in an arena where you'd think she'd die first and then came out on top.

Tenten understood the strength's and weaknesses of most of the other kunoichi. Recognizing that she was no match for the close-range experts and noting Temari's lethal wind-jutsu, she hung back and waited for openings to pick off the weaker kunoichi first.

Karin fully realized that she couldn't manage a straight up battle against any of the other kunoichi and attempted a similar strategy to Tenten's. But while cloaking her own chakra, she'd be unable to use her sensing abilities for when someone gets the drop on her. In addition, despite her Uzamaki chains and endurance, her primary role as a support-unit means that she wouldn't be able to put up a strong offensive.

Ino managed a surprising stand and even managed to get Sakura to poison herself and puppetted her and Hinata against each other and the other kunoichi to increase her own chances. But her vulnerable status while using her clan's jutsu as well as Sakura's surprising resistance left her unable to protect her own body when another opponent found it.

Meanwhile, Temari recognized her lethal peril at the hands of Hinata and Sakura and was poised to keep either one at a distance. That way, she could barrage and wear them down with her powerful Wind Jutsu. She was capable of analyzing and measuring the limits of Hinata's mid-range jutsu and acted accordingly to keep from losing any tactical edges.

Poor Sakura gave it her all, but her recklessness left her largely unable to capitalize on any advantage over her opponents before they did vice versa to her. Her only clear advantage in both healing prowess and Super strength was negated by the various abilities and strengths of the other kunoichi. She might have been able to eventually overcome Ino or even Karin. But she simply couldn't contend with Tenten's weaponry, Temari's ranged assaults or even Hinata's superior close-range capabilities.

She was pretty much ping-ponged around as a result. Though her Strength of Hundred Seal amplifies her regenerative abilities, they do have their limits. Especially against the type of lethality that Sakura ultimately endured.

Hinata initially attempted to take out Tenten, but had to contend with Ino and Sakura first. Though she had no trouble countering Sakura's brute-force style with her own, Ino's mind jutsu forced her at Temari against whom she had a strong disadvantage. Fortunately, her determination and clear-head managed to keep her from being overwhelmed and allowed her to use her own mid-range jutsu to keep Temari on her toes.

Temari didn't have much trouble with Hinata, but her reliance on her fan-amplified wind jutsu was turned against her and overwhelmed her. Leaving her too vulnerable for the 64 Palms technique. But by the time Hinata took out Temari, Tenten was in way better shape and positioning for the final confrontation.

Tenten is intimately familiar with the Hyuga style's strengths and weaknesses due to her constant training with Neji. So there's no reason to assume that Tenten wouldn't be able to knock Hinata out of the fight.

Especially if Tenten dropped Jidanda on her.

And before the fans tear me apart, allow me to give a little more context on my decision.

All of the kunoichi have specific strengths, traits, personalities, weaknesses and etc. that all have to be taken into account for a battle royale. 6 Combatants means that there are at least 36 different ways that this fight can turn out. However, some outcomes are far more likely than others even when factoring chance into the equation. After experimenting with various methods, I figured that the best way to determine the winner of a royale is who'd win the most individual fights and how easily.

Taking this into account, it was shown that Tenten would actually be able to win against most of the other kunoichi due to the previously stated reasons above. Temari and Hinata tied for having the most amount of wins after Tenten, then Ino and Sakura...and Karin didn't win any.

So with this in mind. It's very possible that Temari is just as easily capable of being the last girl that Tenten faces. But the result would have been no different. Tenten has at least three ways of countering Temari's wind jutsu since fire techniques and attacks are strong against wind and one of these abilities includes the Bashosen.

Inevitable Complaint 1: Temari defeated Tenten in Part 1, she should win here.

I'll be brief here. This argument doesn't work due to the extreme growth that both characters have gone through since then. The only way to really know who'd win between their Part 2 incarnations is by pitting their abilities and equipment against each other. From what I could tell, there was no "definitive" victor, but I saw no reason why Tenten couldn't beat Temari. A reasonable case can be made for vice versa, but the Bashosen tips the scales slightly in Tenten's favor.

Slightly?

Inevitable Complaint 2: Hinata should've won! She could shut down everyone's chakra!

Only if she could manage to get close enough. Which wouldn't be a problem against Sakura, Ino or Karin. But Temari and Tenten would both be a problem due to their inherent advantages over Hinata in terms of range and sheer destructibility. As the scenario above showed, even if she managed to defeat Temari (yet another close-call), she'd still be screwed against Tenten for reasons already stated.

Furthermore, Neji's ability to hold up against Tenten's accuracy could also be attributed to his mastery of the Heavenly Rotation technique. An ability that Hinata has not demonstrated being able to use. Her Protection of the 64 Palms seems to be a somewhat inferior technique despite it's usefulness and versatility and it would likely still have the same blind spot anyway.

Also, it should be noted that the thoracic vertebrae is the last place that Hinata would want to be hit. This vertebrae comprises the entire midsection of the spine from the bottom of the neck down through the ribcage. It is essential for the nervous system which sends commands from the brain to the rest of the body. Should this section of the spine be severely damaged, then it would rupture if not destroy Hinata's ability to use any part of her body from the chest and down.

Unfortunately for Hinata, Tenten rarely misses. Even with macross kunai massacres.

Inevitable Complaint 3: You're just hating on Sakura! She would slaughter everyone!

Despite my own personal issues with Sakura, I will admit that she is one of the strongest shinobi in the village. The only problem is that she's mostly mis-matched against the likes of Tenten, Temari, and Hinata. Tenten and Temari could shut her down before she got close and yes, even the healing seals have their limits (refer to Tsunade cut in half or the Invasion of Pain). Hinata is more nimble and the gentle fist is more than capable of shutting down Sakura's chakra thereby negating her strength or chakra seals if not outright killing her.

Even Gai admits this much and he's the beast that punched out Madara. And trained the kid who scissor-kicked Madara. And kicked me in the head.

You probably deserved it.

I didn't! Honest!

In addition, it should be noted that Sakura has never actually displayed the ability to correct her own nervous system should it be struck. Even if she did, there's a difference between correcting your damaged nervous system and reopening closed tenketsu points. Again, you would need chakra for either one.

Sorry, Sakura just didn't stand much of a chance.

Inevitable Complaint 4: Shouldn't Temari have won since she's a jonin and the other's are chunin?

As I've said before, the ranking system in Naruto is basically bullshit and more akin to a guide line. That's also why I didn't include much from the databook because of the same principle along with the fact that most recent databook is outdated by several years both in-universe and real life.

The anime and manga have shown plenty of occasions of lesser ranked shinobi taking out higher ranked shinobi by capitalizing on their strengths. Naruto, an Academy student dead-last, was able to beat and possibly kill a Chunin instructor in the first episode. Later in Part 1, members of the Konoha 11, most of whom are genin, are shown standing up against and even defeating higher ranked and more experienced shinobi. Hell! Naruto is basically jonin level by the end of Part 1 and still officially a genin.

What all of the above means is that rank is more of a mark of prestige rather than ability. Just because Temari has a superior rank that doesn't automatically mean that she's stronger than any of the other kunoichi. With this in mind, my judgement for this royale simply came down to which kunoichi could utilize their abilities to their fullest capabilities, who'd win the most battles on an individual basis, and who could best withstand constant battle with multiple enemies.

Tenten didn't just hit the bullseye. She slammed on it.

NEXT TIME ON DEATH BATTLE:

"It's better to burn out than to fade away!"

"Do you not know death when you see it, old man?"
That came out a bit more violently than I originally thought.

Apologies for that and for the cop-out Rinne Tensei after the fight. I just couldn't resist the comedic opportunity or giving the winner an extra pat on the back.

I was originally going to have the battle set in the Forest of Death, but then this awesome guy: hakuxtemari.deviantart.com/ made this awesome pic: hakuxtemari.deviantart.com/art… and I couldn't think of a better idea. Besides, the environment only has a minimal effect on the battle anyway so we could've put it anywhere and the fight would've ended the same.

Got something to add? Something that I missed? A reasonable case for someone else to win with all previous research taken into account? Feel free to share in the comments.

About the only way Tenten is beating "I can shatter an area the size of a small hill with one punch" Sakura is with the Sage's sealing pot... And yet even Sakura isn't the strongest ninja in this. Hinata gained the chakra of the Sage's brother in The Last. Which means that she has god tier chakra levels. Sakura is the only one in this fight that even has a chance Vs Hinata just backhanding them to death... And it isn't a very large one.
