Background:

Brought together by Fate, Misfortune and the Manipulation of forces beyond their comprehension, the children of Sophitia waged a bitter duel with one another. But even as her body attacked her brother, Pyrrha herself felt alone...sad...and regretful. With her will faltering, Patroklos gained the upper-hand and stabbed Soul Calibur's blade through his sister's heart in order to end her life.

But now wielded by impure and uncertain hands and forced into the body of spawn of darkness containing an uncertain but pure soul...Soul Calibur cracked. The inferno soul of Soul Edge felt the faltering energy of it's eternal rival and sent it's power through the weakened walls of Soul Calibur. Soul Calibur resisted, but betrayed by the taint of it's wielder fueled by vengeance and malice and overwhelmed by the worming influence of Soul Edge...Soul Calibur's light dimmed and embraced the darkness.

As the blade was taken from her chest, a single shard of Soul Calibur was left next to the shard of Soul Edge that healed the girl of her wound and balanced that influence of the taint. Leaving Pyrrha in full control of her body, but with the memories of what she had done as Soul Edge's puppet and of what her brother had become. Instead of pity or mercy, she was mocked by Tira who encouraged her brother to kill her. She cried out to her brother, but he cut her and fully embraced the darkness of Soul Edge.

If there was a God, he was the reason that she survived that day.

Her silent prayer was answered as a warrior emerged from the rift of chaos and fought off Tira as a veteran warrior of souls and swords battled Patroklos. She sat and watched as the samurai Mitsurugi and a young woman who looked like her mother named Cassandra battled for her sake without fear or hesistation.

After her brother left, Cassandra defended her against those who held her responsible for her deeds as the Crimson Despair. Despite not knowing this woman, she was warmed by how she cared about her...it was an unblemished and unconditional love that she hadn't felt since her mother had passed. Remembering the innocents she had slain, Pyrrha fled from the woman. She didn't get far due to unfamiliarity and her own exhaustion, but the warmth grew when she saw that Cassandra had pursued her.

"I'm your mother's sister...We're family, we look out for each other." Cassandra told her with an uncertainty that was not unlike the one that Pyrrha had known all her life, "...We all make mistakes, alright Pyrrha? But I don't care about what you've done, we'll stay together from now on."

Though Cassandra seemed as lost as she was, Pyrrha choose to trust someone with all her heart. Now she travels with her aunt, a group of young warriors from the east led by a pirate with nunchaku, a man whom she had nearly killed as the Crimson Despair and a strange grey wolf with purple fairies flying around it...

With her aunt at her side, Pyrrha would find both redemption and happiness...

Notes:

(1 - How would they know about blood type back then?)
(2 - The reasons for disowning her brother are numerous and self-evident in both the story and the original game)

More Pyrrha Fanart!

Mostly because I like the character that much and because I wanted to see how she'd look in an outfit resembling Sophitia's SCII/SCIV costume and Elysium's outfit in SCV.

(Seeing as that Elysium is modeled on Sophitia, so let's just say that the outfit is solely based on Sophitia's outfits, k?)

It took a while to figure out how to make something "see-through" and managed nicely.

All in all, I'm content, but any pointers for future updates always help. For instance, an interesting background is in order.

Hard to see how the proportions go together. Her right side seems like it's not drawn properly. I like the highlights you did for her shield. I believe some shading could have been added to her undergarments. The hair isn't flowing like pyrrha's and I can barely recognize her. The ribbon on her head as well as her grieve looks poorly done. I think you need to practice on body proportions a bit more. Everything about the body seems off. Her breasts are too unrealistic and seem more like overfilled water balloons. I can slightly see the little shading done on the side of the face and her forehead. I didn't understand the type of design you were going with the top. It's like you tried putting in that "elysium" feel but it looks off to me. The head needs to be shorter. For the eyes, I don't have much to says for. I would recommend using the original style before using your own.
